Out of my almost 9 years marriage..
The first two years we lived with my parents, then my husband had an overseas project for two years. Coming home, we lived another two years with my parents. Then, we moved to my parents-in-law's house. Not long after we moved in, my father-in-law passed away, so we are not considering moving anywhere else for a long time. We have been living with my mother-in-law for almost three years now.
Depending on the children, but I have no problem living with parents (either mine or the in-laws).. it might work for you and your daughter too..

It'll be interesting to see how things materialize. It's interesting the things that some characters can say, especially when things sometimes do not fit with the character.
