Bob
My mother has MS.  She was diagnosed a few years ago and has some symptoms. I pray to GOD that she doesn't suffer. Knowing you have to watch your partner suffer makes my heart break for you. You are a good man and I wish you and your wife comfort and ease thru these difficult times. Only GOD holds the key...we just open the doors he unlocks! Ace

Re:Thank God the surgery has worked. The attacks were nightmarish!
The first sign that they'd returned was her screaming.  I can't imagine how it must have felt.

I'm so glad for her that the pain is staying away - it sounds terrible.  Hoping those memories fade as the healing progresses - it's a lot of stress (the poetry really does help, doesn't it?)

Rough Bob I used to get common neuralgia it used to drive me crazy but I had forgotten about it until you explained the symptoms. Let us hope she does not have that burden to contend with and you of course.

Re: Oh I am so sorry.
PS - If it's of any future help, the neurosurgery that did the trick was called "Gamma Knife" Surgery.
She had it done by Dr. Ronald Brisman at NY Presbyterian Hospital. - Bob

Oh I am so sorry.
Several years ago I had surgery for an aneurism and some nerve damage was done, I had the pains almost consistently when I opened my mouth to eat. Some two years or so it was gone. It rarely came but when it did it was a screaming affair. Then I had Shingles along the Trigeminal Nerve and got the pains again. Mine lasts for only a scant second, I don't think I could stand it longer.  I have had dull pain in the area since my last aneurism recently but not like the other ones. May God bless and heal her.
