Re:Yes, ever since I had the cancer (now cured) we've had 24-hour aide
help and the use of a Hoyer lift through Medicaid, but each time she needs the commode or shower chair I have to lift her like in the old days (she's paralyzed on one side)  We manage to get along and have a few laughs, but
I don't get out much.  Neither of course does she. Thanks for your words!  - Bob

Dear Bob, I did the same thing for 6 months, and only six months, until I could no longer keep up and had to seek outside help for a few hours/day. You deserve such respect and praise for being so dedicated, and no doubt your wife appreciates having you near.  Is there a local helping agency you can contact?

Re: Adnohr
Usually it's not all that  bad, but times like this past week - with her kidney surgery and all - really can be ex-
tremely trying for both of us.  - Bob

Re: Love accepts the good with the bad, it seems...
At least that's the way we see it. -  Bob

Yes you have done well Bob, I know how it feels sometimes to just sit and wonder. It is if you could have lived with the alternative. Some cannot stand reality or have no conscience I have seen it happen many times and it is not pretty. People who become carers really should have more support, time becomes so precious and the carer is always carried by a sad  unending stream of love.

Bob this was a powerful poem beautifully written and heart felt...truly one of your best.

Yes, I imagine it can be quite difficult to keep your cool, both of you, sometimes, for the same, and for different, reasons. Alot of inner strength and courage required.
