I suppose that is why i wore myself out staying long hours at the hospital
with Wiley....we can't stand not to be together.

This reminds me of my divorce so many years ago, but the feelings are the same, cold, irksome and alone.

You've captured them well, chuck....the "coldness" itself is a powerful metaphor.....
