Well Naut, when I started out I thought I would answer all comments too but lack of time put that thought to rest now and so I just read and comment on readers that leave a comment in mine. Of course I read others but don't leave a comment as and when I can. I agree that having an education does not really mean that one is more tolerant or open to views that challenge. Seeing is sometimes believing and I have seen how education (especially in religious issues) can create adverse reactions & thoughts in some religions.

I found this to be very revealing! And Detroit managed to eke out a win over Toronto! Love home ice; lol! Christopher was initially supposed to return his phone to his civilian workplace but his boss decided to have him destroy it before he left the country! He says his boss is odd at times and I suspect this may be one! But Christopher will be getting a new one should he decide to return there but I would rather he move to Idaho! And there are only 274 days until he returns! lol Shelly

I totally dont buy into the theory of the Muslim engineers
it is the same as asking why are so many philipons nurses and in the medical profession. If you have spend any time in the muslim world you would quickly discover that engineers and chemists are considered to be one of the most respected professions, it is simply that a family that will send their child to higher education would always yearn for them to be engineers, if they were doctors or lawyers they would still display hate and prejuidices, because that is also part of their education.

I have not seen a study or researched this subject myself, but as I study things around me, and things in the news of the US I have noticed in the left, who seem to take pride in their education, a tendency of bigotry as with Sarah Palin, or any conservative black American, and the list goes on I dare to say. So I suppose the hypotheses would then be that education is bad, particularly that of an engineer, not taking into consideration where, or from who the education was received?

Very odd, although I admit I have met more than one 'educated' individual whose rationalization seemed to be completely 'off the wall'. I always thought those persons were the exception to the norm. Apparently not the case. Much cause for speculation.
