Red Skelton came to mind, and what a grin he had ... a comedian I watched as a very young child with my family.   So colorfully and creatively you delve into a clown's grin.

I like the legacy of one's life being a grin, too! How wonderful that would be, too! sam

lionreign

w In this poem I see perhaps political but more so the current trend of interest in clown figures. Maybe our president inspires the trend. That thesis could be a stereotype. However clowns act if you judge  a caricature by policy in office. But I lean in my analysis of your poem to interpreting it as about a clown image. Excellent!  lol. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

So much in this poem lionreign - someone for the audience to laugh at and he makes himself the target and deep within you never know how he is feeling.

A departure from your usual "theme" but I enjoyed it immensely.  Very creative!!!!!

This is so well written, I almost hear another voice present, here. But I'm also thinking--what if this were written from the inside out? This would entail the suspension of time, and a special delivery of word concepts. But then you would be doing your own stnad-up.
