PPS: How bout this? ROAD TO DEMASCUS--but not Paul's experience, but yours...in completely new language. We might begin with the proposition that if the Lord wanted to someone to to do his work, why would he hire you? (Well, everything's gotta begin somplace, and is there a story here?)

PS: you got me on a bit of a roll--all assents are individual and extremely personal, and I'm not sure you know your own story yet.
just a thought. JFM

I was wondering when you might enter the realm of inner speak--song as psalm. But since I expect you to be God-and-Christ centric--well, I got it, and now what? Now that I know your outer dramaturgy, I'm beginning to wonder about smaller things, like the relationship between "I and Thou", and things much more infintesmal, like the inner workings of grace. I'm not disagreeing with your approach, but for me, the idea of God or Christology doesn't begin with the pulpit. Sometimes the big, initial idea has to receed, if only to reveal its inner rapture...and how do you write about that...hummn? You might want to take a look at St John of the Cross, "Dark Night of the Soul" (14th century). Aren't all assents individual?

Lovely poem.  I love that your sincerity remains even as your poetic technique evolves

Peace has that quality about it of simplicity and at the same time abundance of just what you need spiritually.
