Oh yes, it was a way different time for someone to be lost. It's ashame of the things that do happen nowadays to some kids.

I don't remember ever being lost but it would be a scary thing to have happen to a child.

i guess i was lucky....i didnt have those problems....and in my neighborhood everybody knew everybody....you can go back and read some of the other stories about my neighborhood...

Yes Annicita, your experience is familiar. I was always getting lost, and I still enjoy it! But recently acquired a

Sure. I remember my mother telling me to go out to play,
and not to come back till suppertime.  When we got bored, we invented things to do.  Some were not so hot,but we were pretty safe as far as creeps were concerned.

I once got lost down town, I remember a police man found me and took me to my frantic parents. This was in the mid fiftys and yes there were bad folks about then, but were most often family, friends, or scout leaders.
