Lol, great verse!  I had surgery 3 months ago and refused a second dose of those pain meds just because of that - I don't ever want to be there (or not here, or over there) again!  It was weird.

How terrible!  I wish you a happier experience if you ever need anesthesia again.  - Bob

oops oops I'm proud to know you even this slightly.  From my brief experience with demerol I can see its dangers - thank God for the happy ending. - Bob

I am so sad to say, and so embarrassed to admit that this was the nightmare of the life I feel into because a doctor told me once when I complained of the pain to just take two, and it is an out of body Hell for those like me who couldn't find the exit until two grew to fifteen pluss. The overdose came years later and that is when the love of God saved me. I only say this as a warning for others...it is a thin line between life and a living Hell...Great post Bob.

Reminds me of my old mate Bob I asked him once 'Tom how long would you try and hold out if you were being tortured.'  'Oh I couldn't stand it.' He said 'I would have to tell the secrets straight away.' At least he was honest. I know that feeling Bob I get it writing on blogit. I hope Ginny is doing alright and take care of yourself.

Re: Thanks for the visit, Shobana. Yes, I fooled around with many titles,
but when outofbody occurred to me, it fit like a key in a lock. - Bob

I think you described the numb feeling after the jab very well Bob - out of body experience.

Ah yes - demerol - a wonder drug! They gave it to me as they put pins in my leg because I insisted on being awake. Proper description - pain's there but you don't care!!
