Quite sad, Chuck , but often the way in life one stays the same and the other drifts on into dreams.

Now that is real love for the last line sums it up perfectly! I found this to be a most engaging poem; it had great thoughts throughout! It was a bit melancholy but still it rang ot have loved and lost is better than to never have loved at all! Great title too! sam

A touching poem, and I too believe in love at first sight, that's how I meet my wife 28 years ago...thank you for your poem.
