Not to demean the problems mentioned in this post of yours, but it would seem that everyone I know of my generation is in similar situation of health problems, hospitalizations, surgeries, etc.  I guess it has always been so, but we don't really notice so much until we get there.  You started early in life though with health problems.  I have, and will continue, to pray for you.  Re:  Benzhina, I think she is just too busy for dealing with us on Blogit.  She is involved in her business, American Legacy Products, Inc., and, I'm sure very much enjoying life.  You can read about it here:  http://www.april-romo-de-vivar.com/about-us-too.html

I agree with you, we must embrace now! So glad you heard from your friend! It had to be unnerving! I know what you are truly saying about the now! I have one more phone call from son coming up before he deploys! I know I will have to hang up eventually but I want it to last forever! sam

It's so sad when loved ones and friends go thru these things...they remind
of us of how fragile life is. And you're right, embracing the now is what we need to do.

I'll wait to hear what happened to my Japanese friend's
family member. I think it is possible my friend has gone to Japan to assist her family.

Seems like when it rains, it pours...
Citizens of the earth seem to have jumped from frying pan to fire...  Good to know your friend in Japan is okay.
