A pat-down, by a cute young TSA lady, might get my pulse rate up for awhile

I'd opt for a pat-down,

I took the pat down instead of the machine when they gave me the choice. As witty as ever with your endings, Naut!

I live near the airport and the levels may reach me so that's why I have stocked up on Potassium Iodide! lol Your commentaries always crack me up! I was working in my yard and tweaked my shoulder and it gave me fits so I had just a taste of what you have/are enduring! What a pain, and so how is your shoulder doing? Shelly

one in a million flights seems to be unimportant odds unless one happens to be on that one in a million flight :-)  besides... who knows?  perhaps that iridescent glow the scanners give us will become fashionable ... Seriously though, I do believe its a small price to pay for being able to feel safe on a plane.  Be well Naut.  xoxoxo

y'know, I 'm beginning to think it's more scam than scan
and for the hundreds of thousands who patiently submit to it, it's an insult to our common sense. Of all the passengers on all the airplanes in the U.S., I remember reading about less than a dozen odd wads with explosives in their pants or shoes or intending to hijack or blow up anything. So because one in a million might be dangerous the rest of us get exposed to extra radiation and the risk of cancer.  Although you hardly ever hear of anyone trying to hijack a plane to Cuba these days.

I'm glad to now know that our radiation is the best.

I've had several full body searches...they aren't much fun
well if I drive to the States I won't need to worry.

I'd rather be fondled (eh, not really, but it's better than radiation!)
