my daughter has ADD and was given the driving test three ways, but finally she got it verbally and passed.  I feel I have the same problem but never diagnosed.

I thought those two questions were very significant! We have identified that students learn at a different pace and still others are hands on; but we still lack in the delivery system to accommodate the various learning styles! sam

Very interesting!
All three ways are effective and rotate depending on the subject for many, I think. I sometimes marvel at the fact that so much can be learned from just plain reading - no visuals, no sound, no hands on except for holding the book...or moving the mouse..:)

FSI
I am one of those who learned best by 'doing' which is probably why mechanics was my interest...

Hi FSI,

I am both an auditory and a visual learner.  For me, seeing and hearing are very important, since I have limited use of my hands and am unable to write.

FSI, I always found that listening and seeing together
aided the learning process for me, whether I was a student or a teacher at the time....and if the subject matter lent itself to doing as well, so much the better....

those learning years help us all through the rest of our life...we put them
to good use in the real world..not always realizing that we are doing that.another good post.

It's interesting the lessons we learn along the way to our personal
path of discovery
