How very true it does melt, all of it, for the most part, eventually! We had such a spring rain as you described yesterday! Although I am wanting to get the outdoor projects completed, I do have to work in between the showers, but I like it a lot better than the snow! sam

You are laughing then Rumor we get sunny days but frosty nights used to dig by moonlight but it always seems cloudy these days.

C.C...I think because of the nature of the beast...
winter only seems longer than the other seasons....we are fast losing our snow, and with promises of temps in the 50's, even possibly the 60's for a couple days next week......

I am really loving the symbolism behind this poem. BTW, glad to see that you are back to writing.

Wonderfully done, CC!
We become lazy too easily, I suppose..well winter is longer than the other seasons or does it only feel that way? Of course, keeping fires burning takes some effort if one is so inclined. The need for warmth is invigorating in it's own rite?

That excuse to live effortlessly is fun once in a while, but I'm ready for some fresh garden produce once again, and as you well know, that takes a bit of effort.
