A good quote Bob, but I d`ont think he took us into account. We are not old and still planting and
undoubtedly will be sitting, er, lying, under them in the far distant future!!

and I liked it right away. Good luck with your cedar! I planted ten blue spruce seedlings on Arbor Day about ten years ago, and only two made it. They're about 5 or 6 feet now.
You made me think of a quote by a famous deceased commentator, Walter Lippman - something like,"Civilization is possible only as long as old men plant trees they will never sit under." I always liked that. = Bob
