Annicita
What a lovely family and collie. I had a collie as a boy in St. Bruno, QC named Molly

We had a collie named Bonnie, and she was everything you describe.I remember when I was 13 (some 50 yeara ago)we had a very good conversation. I did all the talking and she just listened--talk about teleptepy, it really worked for me. She died somewhere in the 1960's.
But she was my best friend, and I still think about her a lot.

Annicita, its great to have a neighbourhood dog like Lady...
We have the opposite dog in our neighbourhood - I don't know what kind of dog it is but its big and noisily barks at everyone passing its house on either side of the road...It has a ferociously unfriendly bark and "Beware of Dog" signs on the fence...we are four houses away from it, but it will even bark if it hears our car doors close too noisily..
