Love your K-Mart ditty - it beautifully isslustrates the transitory nature of the things we create...
And Im glad June is still writing...

I find the department stores are so huge in the US (ie: Kohls)! I don't think I've ever been in a KMart. Concerning June, her story does sound interesting. I hope you can convince her to finish it. It's a serious thing, the influence a parent has on a child.

Sounds like June was one of those really bright children
who nobody understood and yes boredom side lined her, people told her she was dumb..............

One of my sons was like Jean in that way. Learned to read so early and loved books. Then when he got to go to school, his teachers berated him, and me, for letting him learn to read so early, and he had to sit around and wait for the others to catch up. He lost his motivation and never did really get it back, though his store of knowledge and grip on the world is quite fascinating.

People all learn in different ways and it sounds like she managed and
manages just fine.
As for K-Mart, you can probably order whatever you want from them online? We still have one here in KC that I know of...
