Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

Pat_B - I'm going to do like Naut:
Part 1: I have not heard a better phrase to describe the antics about Sheen - his 'own personal hell' is right, and no-one needs to have THAT bandied about.
Part 2: If I were you, I'd follow my dream. If it's Seattle, I'd check it out. I'm pretty sure, however, even as kind-hearted as you are, your dream does not include looking after your ex!!

OK, here's my thought
I think you should live somewhere that allows you to focus on the things you want to do - like writing, reading and the minimum of upkeep thought it can't be fully avoided. And then you should plan a little sanity break every year or so - where you go to Seattle for a few days - stay as near to town as you can afford, or stay with a friend - and allow that side of yourself, fill that need in you, and mix with those kinds of people. This is what I do. It is the only way I can keep coping with my version of Mundane. Although right now... I am not sure I am coping.

One can't help but keep rolling those types of thoughts around in the head after passing age 70. I'm doing it myself because everyone around me is getting hit with the unexpected. Now my BIL who has been my Sister's caregiver has ended up in the hospital because of CHF and he couldn't breathe. They are sending him from the little hospital in Effingham to a better one in Springfield, IL for heart valve replacement, and pacemaker & defibrillator surgery. So their kids are having to take turns coming from IA, IN, KCMO and north of Chicago, to see about sis in the rehab center in Effingham (with her hopefully healing hip) and to Springfield to be with their dad for the surgery. I can understand your thoughts about helping your ex-. I even had an urge to go to FL to nurse my ex- and his wife, and my sons thought I had gone nuts. LOL

Pat
To part 1: I wish they wouldn't just give Charlie Sheen a rest, but put an end to their endless and mindless babbling about that vast herd of 'celebs' out there, LOL...
To part 2: You're young enough to allow yourself to give in to temptation...
