Ed and I watched as much of the Baftas as we could stand, but I found myself thinking of that roomful of disappointed people, most of whom never make it to the top and watch other people walking off with the awards year after year... 'Twas ever thus, I suppose!

I totally forgot to watch the Grammy awards...
Since I don't listen to much of the music or watch MTV, etc., these days, I'm only aware of the most popular figures as celebrities. Don't identify with their songs, young love, etc. Don't know if I'm stuck in the '80s and old fashioned rock 'n roll, or have just become a total fuddy. I may get to a movie one of these days. There are several trailers on TV that look interesting.
