Not Feb. 12th in Canada. Love the poem...the icicles hanging off my roof are huge, and so pretty when the sun shines on them. There isn't much that isn't beautiful in Nature's winter. You poem does part of it justice - Kudos!

I remember reading one time that the NY Sanitation Dept. uses the date Feb. 12 each year as their guess at when the serious snow and ice stop.

Lovely description of weather that isn't otherwise lovely - especially the uplifting reminder that it won't last long.

CC, in its little manifestations (like in my drink), I almost like ice.  It's ice en masse that I can't stand.  (I think the Titanic's  captain said that).- Bob
