Re: Dance
The little rat Femia, you should have told him he was hopeless. I wouldn't have left you on the sidelines. I hope he trod on her toes.

Dance
I wance taught worked in a dance studio and taught ball room dancing. I enjoyed is very much then I taught a young man all I new I was excited he had come to the studio and when his lessons were finished he went on his way. I found out later he had attended a great ball room dance and took another gal..I learned that day dreaming sometimes puts one in the side line of waiting for a dance. Nice Poem. Femia

I like your metaphors ChCh -- 'a girl like pause' --- 'bodice of that transition' - "Orphaned Annie" - this poem is so well written and deep; it's true of how 'those dancing want to dance into their own sweet dream."  You have nailed this one dear ChCh with your sharing of wisdom ... E.E.

Oh, joy, conquest, repentance, and memory are but a few of the paints of masterpieces in the hands of a poet.... Wonderful work. Thank you for sharing.

There are so many layers to the dance that you speak of. This poem covers them well.
