So thoughtful this poem is ChCh --- and this line says it all for me: "True love, would accept the loss if someone’s life became divine" after all is said and done...This is a very thought filled poem ~

the honesty of true love really has to come from both sides, C.C.....
then there is a balance that nothing can break..it may bend as "the course of true love never did run smooth", but never break....very powerful poem, C.C....it really made me stop and think....

Well I am very ordinary really Wiley , I know it is easy to say things ,but to climb out of those pits of despair is something else, Two think that two rather unhappy people could meet and find what they had dreamed of all their lives had materialized is rather wonderful give her a kiss from me.

Re:
Well that is sad Sam, but maybe there is more sadness than joy. Perhaps kindness is the happy medium and that seems sadly lacking in many cases.

A truly wonderful poem for me to read that I could really identify with from experiences in my life. I tried so hard to 'alleviate the pain' of grief after the death of my former wife with that 'practical thinking'. Every 'tomorrow' for years I lived that awful 'feeling of sinking.' Until Kabu arrived in my life. You truly are a magnificent poet my friend.

So aptly said CC, one does feel a sense of helplessness when lost in love only in thought. Great poem.

when the beloved moves on one must pass through the stages of grief or
one stops living to the full and that is sad.

I ponder these questions being answered when the right person has come along for one searching! Other than that I know very little about love in relationships! sam

Mercy, those stark forests that remain could make one weep.
Draining one’s life of joy, those rays of happiness sought
unwary ways and are withdrawn from somewhere so deep.
No wonder one feels lost when all must be resolved through thought.
I really liked this, deep thought is good, but usually best to follow your heart, great poem, thanks
