WHAT a storm that was!
Not since 1967 do I remember anything like this around Chicago. And as you said, there's more snow, and then more snow. I'm amused by your humorous description of trying to shovel and chip away at it all - thanks for making light of that dreaded task.

Re: It is quite a thrill when the snow melts and one rediscovers lost treasure
True. Snow is a real gift to the poet - it's a hot topic at each end of the season, provoking wonder first and profanity later.

Re: snow
Yes, and there's more to come. In the meantime I'm using the relative thaw between each snow/sleetfall to chip away as much ice as I can before it gets frosted over and solidified by more precip. It's been really bad this year - the towns have run out of the money they'd budgeted for snow clearance... The drifts are so high at the end of our street that a driver can't see around them. Skiers up north are having a grand old time. - Bob

There's Snow
Bob, the chores of surviving in cold weather is with your trusty shovel in hand is indeed back breaking but remember the sun shall shine again to melt away your slushy driveway and a new path to enjoy and you'll forget about all the SNOW. Blessings, and have a good cup of Joe. Femia
