I know of several cases where divorce does not lead to the end of civility and even affection - I have one in my family, and yours is another good example of that...

I was very amicable with the father of my sons ...but something bad
happened recently and I hope I don't see him again.

You are very special, the divorce from the mother of my kids was such that we only could be civil to each other at kids weddings. Good for you PatB
