ChCh --- oh I do like this poem. It's like a 'reflection' in a child's eyes which are like Pools of Innocence ~ Guilt is something I personally believe is what we carry from early childhood. And sadly I think Guilt is pushed on us by those more powerful (or egos that
think they are more powerful) ~ Ah...I believe myself, we as humans are so complex and basically I feel most of us, including you, dear ChCh try to do what is morally good and try not to do things that cause 'guilt' and so I believe in Faith and hope and Love ~
although, true account here ChCh - I was just thinking the other day the levels of sin that were taught to me as a youngster...oh my I think of each 'sin' I have made and how I should grade them as lesser or more.? and I stopped thinking about it because I simply cannot decipher what I 'should' think ~ To be truthful ChCh ~ I find this greatly inspiring. Made me stop and reflect. E.E.

Powerful and real, CC!

Evokes pondering of childhood teachings, experiences and how they do or don't flower into faith and the endurance of. For myself, religion was an incredibly contentious issue between the adults in my life, so I found my belief through an awareness of creation and love.

Great ending.
For some reason I am reminded of this quote from Emerson:
So near is grandeur to our dust,
so near is God to man,
when duty whispers low, "Thou must",
the youth replies, "I can!"

It's interesting how our perspectives can change as we get older. My beliefs about various things have changed a lot too.

You know CC God never forsakes us it is the other way around. Whatever you think about to do with God and promises of the past I would sit down or walk somewhere quiet and undisturbed and simply talk to God as you would another person. Explain your fears and if you feel it is a sin ask him to forgive you and He always does forgive when you ask Him you know CC. He is your friend always and you can talk to Him 24/7 He always listtens and He is always your friend. :)

what a darling write this is dear C.C. and Oh the pain that the little mind
can go through and adults so easily forget what they say or ask of a child or yes threaten even, can have a life time effect on said child ..or at least leave them to suffer bitterly for some time.
I know you are a great person with the soul of a poet...a lover not a fighter....your place will be ready for you ...but not yet.

Commitments made in childhood are often pie in the sky for they want to please! And when you put it in perspective with the priest being so big and the child so small it gives it great credence! But, those are the lofty desires of childhood and as you suggest they are best served by remaining there for we grow and ideals change as we do! Nice work C.C.! sam

What a careful and honest insight into thought. Faith is unthought, though and, yuou are so right:we do not know what it is all about but be sure redemption is an act of God and if it has been given how can it be taken away? Read Esther, the King cannot withdraw his edit. Neither does he withdraw the citizen's right of choice to live life and responsibiliity for decisions he/she makes. Let's celebrate our freedom and responsibility and keep faith. Love to read you.
