I'm still deciding if the mistake was to sleep late while off work, or to go back to work when I needed more time to sleep

After The Break
Breaks can be funny old things.  They can either release the staleness of the mind or obstruct the singing of the muse

I cam empathise
with this absolutely.

lionreign, you've captured the "after the break" feeling perfectly....
It used to be so difficult to get back into the daily routine, at times, one almost wished the break  had never come.....

Hard to turn those hours around..:) I'm a hopeless night owl myself.

You really captured that feeling well... the end of your poem makes me want to curl up and close the eyes.  sometimes, shaking off that sleepy feeling at work can be tough. It's funny how some vacations can be so draining and others.. well, I wish would never end.

Yes very poetical sleepy,  fortunately it is a bit cold here so I don't know if one can shiver and stay awake . Sleep tight lion.

After the break
Slumber brings out he lazyness of our soul to want to slumber away in comfort then to awake to a new beginning is sometimes a chore. Nicely done Fema
