Initiation
I remember that moment but didn't know what to do with it at the time!  I'm glad you found words for it.

Well Shobana you were a well behaved young lady. I don't think the girls would be so restrained today. I must send you a dozen hankies.

CC
I got home at 2:00am after my first time on a date. She lived miles and miles away from me and right then I decided it just wasn't worth the trouble. Well until Kabu.

OH>>did you have to think of picking the flowers off the cemetery CC..When I was sixteen, I had a crush on a guy maybe 20 years older than me that time and of course I just gaped at him passing by my grandma's house everytime and not a word spoken..lol. The crush I thought was love just fizzled when I moved away..

Loved the way this one was writen... like a memory or rather a re-lived moment.  This is my favorite of all your poems CC... so tender and cute... so revealing and true... Absolutely loved it and you being shy and daring at the same time... precious!   :-)  I think you were brave too.  During my first crush my grandmama got worried I was clinically depressed because I would not leave the house afraid to run into him  loll  Be well  xoxoxo-

The flowers from the cemetery were hilarious! Can you imagine what she would have thought had it happened and then learned the truth?! I loved it! The brassiness of youth at times! sam  I have to leave you with too:

"perhaps I could feign sudden illness"...
and fetch her flowers from the cemetery...C.C., lol, you didn't....those first few encounters with the opposite sex were quite frightening and perplexing at times....at least you didn't run and hide....

Poor man!...:)
This is priceless, CC, enjoyed it very much.
Makes me wonder (and gasp) about my first boyfriend; he hardly ever had money for proper dates, but would be on my doorstep with the loveliest bouquets; kind of had a thing for cemeteries too..oh shivers!
