Good idea to be someone different than "it" would create.

Tzippy
It's good to hear your mother shows the occasional small flicker of rebellion...And at the same time I think the iron of your own resolve was hardened to steel in the fire of that hell of a 'home'...

I am glad your Mom got to name the baby what she wanted... and that you had the strength of spirit to remain an original :-)  xoxoxo

I am so glad you were able to come to that decision. I find this post to be very empowering.

A monster indeed! Kudos to you for not allowing him to steal
your spirit or truth. Very enlightening and well done, Tzippy!

our dear darling Tzippy could never be made to fir into someone else's
mould.....you ARE an original.     That man should have been exposed to the police or children's services or whatever was avaliable for the welfare of abused children and all of you should have been removed. He makes my flesh crawl.

My goodness there is no end to this man's cruelty! How he could be so physically harmful to a child escapes my comprehension! What an ogre! I applaud your fortitude, I would not want to be a copy either! He reminds me of a total hypocrite in that he questions others and his house, personal house is in such disorder! He could not have been a happy person, EVER! sam

Very interesting post.  If this is finally published as a book, I would like to read the whole thing.  I don't do well with serial things.  I lose interest because I can't keep going and instead have to wait for each bit.  But a book would be great.
