I know just what you mean... Everytime I pass by where they stood my heart sinks... I just can't get used to the gap in that skylike. My daughter lives in Englewood... so I go often to Manhattan when I visit her. Crossing the GW bridge towards the city I always think of that awful day... That is why I can not understand those who think that building a mosque near that site is OK... I am sorry but its not, and it has nothing to do with freedom of religion. It would just be another reminder of the horrible thing those men did. YOur poem is profound in its ladden sadness... xoxoxo
