This is quite complex and very haunting

goodbyes are never easy, C.C.....
you've captured some of the sadness, wistfulness, and even the bitterness in doing so....very well done....

Re:
Thank you E.E. The more I think about how the mind works, I suppose it tries to do its best.

Re:
Shobana dear, like falling leaves never deliberately mislead, ones sins will always find you out. Sorry I'm a bit ratty today, but it's the pills I think.

For me the falling and covering with leaves was like a blanket of putting the past and missed opportunities and the like quietly to rest! It felt like dealing with loss but closure seemed present as well! sam

So many things can be said and thought about those events. Sometimes I find myself not sure how to feel when I look back at particular moments and eras of my life.

A beautiful poem CC, the ending was just superb..but I don't know if falling leaves will cover those feelings endured.

ChCh - I so hate goodbyes - but as you say with the sun and the leaves to come and go and the many more images to follow, to add more memory - goodbyes and memories do just as this - filter in and gain recognition only to leave us with another end.  This poem is touching to me.  Truly ~ E.E.
