A stupendous ending! But this caught my fancy for it is defines destine (I use that instead of destiny which is female oriented; it means the same):
I collect the sugar and roll without a whimper into softness

The light comes and I cannot remember, I feel the way has been lost and all
that remains is the beginning.
One day it will open and then I might not wish to remember, but may not be able
to resist the enlightenment that life is offering.
LOVED THIS ENDING, MUST DWELL ON THIS AWHILE

It is like a race run and when you stop to take a breather..you find that you always end up at the beginning so in all eventuality the race is never complete. Excellent poem CC.

not taking risks leads to a simple ordinary life, for some its fulfilling, for others they choose to fall into temptation. At least looking back onto an ordinary life we won't feel ashamed as we enter the end and see the light,we are confident we did whats right and we enter the light at the end of life even more satisfied, comforting.

It will be interesting to see how the speaker responds when that light appears. One never knows what they are going to do for sure unless they are faced with the situation itself.
