The year I lived on a farm, cows grazed in the pasture during the day
but at milking time they got a nice serving of bran, which I believe was a mix of the nutritious hearts of corn and wheat. Which has nothing to do with the bureaucratic empire building that goes on at the Univ. of Iowa, and the political bull shaking that determines who's the most capable of running a department and get along with the administration, the board of directors and the legislators who decide on budgets for the college.

Stands to reason that cows are meant to eat corn.....on our farm in
Australia cows ate grass but since they were standing on their heads....what else could one expect.
