As you know, I have little liking for your current President, but he definitely needs to be protected. And if the security people think they need a Gatling gun, so be it, it doesn't bother me.
Gatling guns have been around for a long time - there is a model from 1877 that fires 1000 rounds a minute (I checked!), and working reproductions can be bought on the open market. (I don't know what anyone would want to do with it, but that's an entirely separate issue...)
And nobody on the President's security detail is going to use it like a garden hose and spray the a neighborhood with it - but they will take out the target with that thing...

I agree that he must be protected totally. You would have to see this thing to believe it. It truly could take out a small town. It kills guilty and innocent alike. He has the best security in the world and I am all for that. This is not about usual presidentual protection. It is so outrageously deadly. Thank you for your response. I love you lady, be blessed.

Justi I can see where it would seem like over kill to have such a weapon protecting one person, but in this case, like it or not, he is the president and whatever measures have to be taken for his safety should be taken... and the rationale here probably is the more he is hated the bigger the gun has to be
I guess they feel the discontent in the people and they must be figuring its likely he could be ambushed. or something like that. Whatever the reason, They can not be stingy with his security... on the other hand... the other use you suggest for that fabulous gun sounds great... a couple of those and they would solve that problem in Arizona :-) Maybe in a couple of years when G-d willing we have a better and more liked president, the white house security would not need them and donate them to our besieged southern border.
