RoseyP...this is a beautiful and touching meditation on friendship...
People come and go in our lives; friends come and go, too, and sometimes painfully if a friend passes on to Glory...your image of the shack is very creative...a very close friend whom you felt right at home with in that shack moved on but you still sensed their presence there...(I know exactly what you mean)...and maybe in time, someone new will come along that you'll let into that shack and he or she will help make that shack whole again as you begin to share a new friendship...
so very touching as you've reminded us of just how precious friendship is..
