I have, I think, a better model
but work on my contract and my book, plus family cares, have kept me from implementing it as quickly as I intended. Now, it looks like Blogit is winding down, so they won't be a competition.

Hi there, there are many places where you can write for free, for example =Blogger and Wordpress... I started to write here a few years ago, then left for a while. The reason I am here again, is 'anonymity' since only subscribers can access the blog, it afforded me the privacy I had lost on my own webpage. I felt I needed the seclusion, while not being isolated at the same time, and I think this is working for me now! I am allowing myself to stay here for a year to sort out my discipline and creativity, is some sort semi-private place!

Well Kabu, I hope you don't leave us --- but, it is truth --- this is not paying writers - in fact, at times it doesn't even cover the subcription amount. That's a false assumption that Blogit leads others to believe, that is, that we get 'paid' --- I really think that they should come clean and share the real with everyone. We don't get paid - just pay for a format to use our skills and hone them and essentially group with others- but, it's more a privately (paid for) forum here. Understandable if one tires of writing for 'nothing' - But all in all, I will miss you if you leave the club of artistry here. C Elyse ~
