As I said to my daughter the other day when she was troubled by past events, some thing just need to reside in the past and then let it go! It has been less than perfect but if one holds on to the very best then the minor things don't sting as much! Her friend is is experiencing his own dilemma and he has always been most comfortable around your daughter! Being who he is important and he knew he could do it, but in the effort to be himself, he didn't want to detract from the event so he chose to do what he did. It didn't meet her expectations but if I were her I would be forever grateful and pleased that he got there! That he supported me. Then the sting goes away for me! Stay in happy mode because as long as she is upbeat her life will be upbeat and she will do more things to reach out for a quality of life that will exceed her expectations and for me that is most important! Just my humble thoughts, my brain and fingers overtook me, lol! She deserves a great life but she must go after it, and upbeat works! Merry Christmas Lustor!!! sam

I'm sure she is disappointed because it is such a let down especially him being her best friend. I am thinking why couldn't he just forego dressing as a woman on such a special occasion lustor.
