My Doggie, Part XXXVI
I have a special fondness for dogs ; most of the time I believe they are smarter than we are; and loyal to the death.joab

And don't the doggies get a look in their eye while they're teasing like that? Who could help but smile?!

I adore that 'tease' you speak of.  Ah and I always wanted a Poodle - the Standard size and I would leave it all curly.  My Aunt had these ~  ~ Elyse

Merry Christmas to you,
I hope all of you had a lovely day and that Jag got a great big ham bone after dinner.

I've played "catch" like that with many dogs (I've never had a dog, only cats) - and I swear it's the only way they can reciprocate in that element of play created when a human throws the stick.  A dog can't throw, so this teasing behavior is their way to engage and return the "play" favor......Mal

Good for Jag...
I've had dogs that played that way, too.

Oh you are such a proud papa. We don't know how smart our animals are. My Cussy Pat (Mercy) is a smart cat. But you are right about Standard Poodles they do prance royally and expect adoration accordingly.

It is so sweet to witness how you love that doggie ... and I totally believe you because I have felt my dogs "talking"  to me many times...  I do think they are more inteligent than we give them credit for...  Lovely post Naut... xoxoxo

Jag is a clever dog. It's funny how he'll tease you in that manner.
