Re: sam444
thanks Sam, I should have known you'd pick that one up - there is some ambiguity there on purpose because it's not entirely a bad thing to wander in one's own mind sometimes (I think)

Re: Shobana
Thank you

I think it's very easy these days - we have so many things trying to convince us that they know what we need or should think that it becomes ever more simple to lose sight of ourselves

Re: A Stranger
Thanks Cheerygirl, with the dark season I always have more of a search for inspiration (if only because I go out and do less) and so my poetry often becomes more introspective... most of them are more cheerful than this though

Re: I have felt like this sometimes
I think it gets us all sometimes... luckily it passes. The snow only reached us today, but I understand we have got off lightly compared to most

So well written, as always. Plumbing the depths of the human mind and stumbling around - I guess we've all been there.

I really liked "I see everything I was taught"! Somehow this could go more than one way depending how the interpretation the state of mind as it were! I love poems that can offer up this way!

A Stranger
You're not switching to writing poetry for horror magazines are you Lionreign? Are you getting enough sleep? Interesting poem. Always an interesting read.

lionreign, that can indeed be a horrible feeling...
a day can be going along and its as if your mind is not your own, you're a prisoner in someone else's mind (or imaybe lost in your own?)....mind and body seem somehow detached...you've captured that hopeless feeling very well.

and it really made a connection with me. Have a good weekend and hope there's not too much snow where you are?
