Re: I could never visit a place like this as a tourist attraction.....
Nor will I, Rumor. Never as a tourist. EVER. I think the Russian government should completely ban the idea, but as Malcolm says the Russian mafia has more power than we like to think. I am so sad and angry and hurt for those who suffered and were lost on that horrible day. I am sadder and angrier and even more hurt still for those who are still suffering life-long illnesses and disabilities as a result of the tragedy. Obviously, the people who concocted the idea of a tourist attraction have no feelings for them. It's all about the money and having control over innocent people.
Still, I pray and ask the Lord that something good be done to His glory in all of this.

It definitely is still radioactive
and the society is run by the mafia who divert billions from the economy, affecting rich and poor. The reason they got to host the 2018 World Cup (which we in England are still very sore about) is because the FIFA authorities were paid-off. It's a place where corruption abounds and Chernobyl has probably only escaped it because of the devastating nuclear explosion

Re: I am sure it willstillbe radio active.....I nursed some of those little
I am sure too, Grandmummy, that it is still radioactive...Why they are doing this I don't know. I just couldn't bring myself to read the entire article. I am so very sorry for all those who suffered, and still do. I am so thankful that you did what you could for those little children. God will bless you for that. I love you.

A TOURIST SIGHT TO RISE FROM HER ASHES?
It is probably still radioactive so I am suprised. If it is ever safe though, and they let tourists go then hopefully as you say the money will be put towards the families of those who suffered or at least given partly as a gift of rememberance.
