A child always has to have at least one for their efforts! What a sweet poem! It reminded me of my daughter who thought she was picking the first flower of the year when she was young! She would joyfully run into the house with a bouquet for me! Then when she found out it was merely a weed she wanted to know why I never told her! I said it was because I couldn't bear to not have the first flower of the season! She is 23 now and I get the first dandelion of the year to this day! What a treasured memory! And you are so right that time is different to a child! sam

Re:
Well they are abundant Lion. Funny a lady called icelatte asked me for a photo of one. I thought not very likely after the frosts but this morning I was digging just a little bit of garden before the next onslaught and there was a dandelion nearly in bloom. So I dug it up and put it in a small greenhouse to see if it will oblige.

Re: CORNCROAK
And it used to be very nice too Wiley but homemade wine gives me a dull ache as soon as I swallow it physiological I think having once drunk hot rhubarb wine on top of a box of chocolates.

CORNCROAK
It was a very gentle story poem and I somehow knew the method in the madness was for a wine old chap.

Lovely CC. It was like a movie playing in my mind as I read it. Vividly captured and painted with words. Good.
