Yes it is I'm sure. Written in 1908 by Gene Stratton-Porter. My lovely old fashioned great aunts used to read it to me in the "drawing room" after church as a special treat. I believe there is also a video by Wonderworks

I just looked it up and apparently 1,500 acres of the swamp are being restored.  How nice.

This was one of most favorite books of my childhood.  I still have a copy and read it again not long ago.  They say the swamp is no longer there.  That seems sad.
