- Go to Slavery in Islam…
I watched a program not to long ago on miracles! A minister in Turkey was beside himself that a Christian woman wanted to help a person who did not believe in Christ! The part that struck me was he repeatedly orated that they do not read the Koran! I think they are listen to what they are being told and not checking it out for themselves and that would help explain why Ali did what he did! Shelly

I came back to be able to read this more carefully, it is too painful
to realize that as of today there are so many slaves being used and abused by the peaceful lovers of peace muslim.
here is a clip that I just received about a situation in Israel, that I had no clue was going on. I cried when I watched it, but I dont know what else to do with it, maybe you could help. I emailed it to everybody, did you know about this? It is subtitled, but very scary that Israel is loosing the battle.

Slavery will always exist as long as there are unscrupulous people in this world exploiting the poor and vulnerable.

And here's an irony - hundreds of those hunted Sudanese make a getaway North to Egypt and are treated horrendously there. The lucky ones now know to cross the border into Israel where they are protected and treated with compassion.....Mal

None of this is new to me ....I love History....but I have to say that I
know that Slavery is alive and thrving across the globe..people smuggling is big business and now I learn that my chocolate is a no no because child slave labour is used in the collecting and Australia loves the world to believe they didn't ever have slaves exceptthat they did.....Island people were tricked into boarding ships to become slaves on the sugar cane plantations at one time.

I wonder how the Reverend Jeremiah Wright would take this revelation that I am sure most Black Theologist as well as most Black and White (for that matter) American's are not aware of. I wonder if and when they are made aware just how long the hyphen stays, which in my mind is a great divider of American's. very informative post.

To me it is mind blowing that there could still be slaves kept in this world of ours... What kind of animals are we that we continue to do such atrocities to our own... I did not know about the Arab-Muslim connection to the slave trade though thinking about it now, what could be more natural than Arabs selling human beings given the low value they place on life. A very informative post as always Naut. xoxoxo
