I read it and you were in a hopeless situation. Truly everyone was, so it really isn't good to beat yourself up over it. I do think it was good that you got to see another perspective so that the situation is seen by more than just the immediate. Your father was not well and you were frightened, when people are frightened they say and react differently than if the waters were calm. I don't think you were wrong to put your father first, he is living and there would have been an opportunity to console relatives. The living always take precedence, it has to be that way! Just a few humble thoughts. sam
