I think you're a Trojan! Wedding and Christmas all at the same time... I'd never cope. Oh, Happy Birthday.

Happy birthdays
I think you're in a difficult position there and hope it resolves itself!

I myself would not want my house used for a bachelor party. I don't know if bachelorette parties are generally tamer or not...

Happy birthday to your son and to you, too!    I would not want my home used for a party, especially when I had a bad experience previously! I think they mean well but if it gets out of hand you will be the one paying for it! Then on the other hand we try to do what we can for our kids! Best of luck discerning this request! sam

Lustor
If it is going to be wild enough to possibly get thrown out of a hotel, I might suggest they go to the hotel anyway. At least the hotel will have some control over the wild action you may not. You and your son are having birthdays too it is not a good venue. It is horribly late to be asking too.

Stick in there

Hi Lustrelove, glad to see you have plugged on with this wedding through all the odds and you are giving your daughter the support she needs. Check out last Chapter of Ruth in the Bible "my daughter is more to me than seven sons." ! I know, I have two who have stood by me through thick and thin.  Before adding my views, may I say, I take my hat off to you!  My daughter has just got officially engaged and I'm shivering in my shoes - still at the tearful stage- does it last?

ADVICE: ask your daughter if you and yur son can stay over at her house while she keeps her party at yours.  If seriously alarmed about breakages add a written clause-what you do to mine I can do to yours and send your son round in the morning to check before handing back the keys

That's tough love, which, having been said, love and praise your daughter. Only love can lift us higher and we've all been there- young, stupid and careless but with a mother's love we can mature to do great things. Enjoy the Wedding!

Re: I would suggest someone else's place for the party.
I tried that all ready, they were going to go to a hotel, but thought they might get kicked out

I would suggest someone else's place for the party.
I wonder what you will buy for a present?
