Do these stores only care about money? Don't answer that for it is a silly question...of course the worker nor the buyer mean a thing to them. If you have told them why you can't work those days ...with a watertight reason...that you have ...they should stick their job where the sun don't shine. Goodness they treat you badly.

I dont knock the unions as I worked for a company that was union and I did make good money as a customer serv rep, lets just put it out there what it is greed.  They can afford to pay high wages they chose to have millions in their pockets instead, its the rich looking out for the rich.

It is to bad that unions and others have forced wages so high in this country that we can't afford to pay one of our own, who truly needs a job to be there instead of someone in India.

This is a major problem. We have almost 10% unemployment in this country and our jobs are outsourced on the products we buy. I don't like it.

and I do find it frustrating when the person on the other line cannot then understand me or speak English, which happens a lot

We have exactly the same problem all the time. So many call centres seem to be in India these days, and it's nearly impossible to get your problem solved - after hanging on for hours and listening to music you don't want!
