It's good you are feeling better! I can appreciate the worry, my daughter lives 2 hours away and I am never settled until she arrives! It is so nice your family is together for the holidays! sam

Your anxiety and apprehension is totally understandable; glad you're feeling better.

I'm glad to hear things are feeling better - unrecognised fears can be quite devastating to your feelings of well being, can't they?

It's an unconscious focus thing, that dread of what could happen
to one of our kids on bad roads. Sometimes it's emotionally tougher than when they're little and we know where they are and what they're up to.

Malcolm - whenever the weather is bad, or I hear about an accident within 50 miles of where my kids (and now my grankids too!) are supposed to be at that precise moment...I get on my cellphone and call each one of them. It's a standing joke in the family. But you know what? Now they do it too!! SO happy your son made it safely!!

Our tree is attached to the wall so fat cat Graysome can't do the damage he
is capable of creating....yes it is tough on us when we are worried about our kids...they must be independent as they grow up...but it is not easy.

I'm so glad to hear that you and Susan are feeling better today Malcolm.  I prayed for Ivan's safety last night and am happy to hear he got home to you all safe and sound.  Your tree is lovely, I'm sure.  Blessings to you all.

Malcolm
Well I understand your emotional state especially as a father living in a wintry climate. We have the snow now too and it is 0c but we are expecting much colder weather today and a lot more snow. Have a grand week and I'm happy your tree is right side up. LOL

Only natural Malcolm . Hope it eases off for a bit, one doesn't care so much when young but the older one gets one can sense the danger especially on slippery roads. I did see a tree in the paper today upside down with roots I think it was an artists impression, but I don't know if it was to show the beauty of the roots.

What a loving, homey picture you paint with your words.
How can anyone not be concerned about loved ones out driving in icy weather?

malcolm, glad to hear you're feeling better today....

Hmmm, an upside down Christmas tree - have to try that next year....ice fog?...I think I've seen that once or twice and that was more than enough...stay safe in your driving.....

we have a "dusting" of snow here, but it is figidly cold...

sometimes life can be overwhelming and we need to let it out, seeing you son safe was what it took to let it all go.  What a kind sensitiv man you are.
