Sometimes life's a bitch and a beautiful thing on the same day.
What a lovely addition to life are the dance classes, the recitals, and all. Art sweetens life.

I really enjoy Chirstmas concerts. be it dancing, or singing or little plays, that the kids put on during the holidays. Your decription of this is so warm and caring, Malcolm. It made me smile when reading it!

I am a perfectionist myself, therefore, I know very well how Susan feels...I imagine there were many who felt the same was as you did during the rehearsal...

I saw a mag today they still make teddies by hand in one factory we all had them as kids . Malcolm a couple of years ago a neighbor ran ballet classes for little girls and they did exceptionally well, but of course those little girls wanted desperately to excel. It is a bit harder when one has to deal with the fun guys as well. Well they might not get much fun as they get older so it is nice for them.
