Welcome home! But you and I need to have a serious chat about your food choices, LOL!
I do agree with you about peaches - their fuzz sets my teeth on edge, and I don't even like peeling them, which is why I mostly go for nectarines...
But fungi? If you have never sauteed a batch of freshly picked chanterelles in a bit of butter and thyme, a woodsy aroma wafting through the house reminding you of the Great God Pan (after he's had a shower, mind you), you haven't lived...And truffels? I don't even know where to begin, so I won't, but I urge you to search out and enjoy these delights...
