- Go to The Fear of Being Snowed In
I think that is a good study FSI --- I think I had the fear of being snowed in ---
when we moved to Maine in 1985 and I experienced my first snowfall --- and I initially thought, 'how lovely' and then by the afternoon, it kept coming and more 'fast' and strongly --- well, the fear of being snowed in and under and over and oh wow, imagine this little Texas gal hiding under the bed (fetal position) and sobbing when my husband got home because I was that terrified. Albeit we lived in Pennsylvania for a few years when I was younger (my daddy had been transferred to supervise an oil sub-station) - well I had not remembered how much snow could fall in just a few hours. We lived in Maine for 5 years - and I was so happy to get back home to familiar grounds. I like snow - but, I don't like it in white-out fashion or blizzards...or piles and piles for months and months because I tend to get that fever??? um, yes, cabin fever? ~ Elyse
may you have controlled snow bouts this year.
