Come to think of it
Jesus can't be appearing everywhere at once now can he?

If these folks truly read and understood Scripture they would have left their money in the offering plates as it were! NO ONE KNOWS! Shelly

My husband is from Murfreesboro, TN lately in the news because of calls to burn the Mosque there, last year in the news for a flood that sent buildings down Interstate 24, and two years ago because the widest recorded tornado tore up a swath of downtown.  I go there once a year (which is more than enough for me) - it's about 35 minutes from Nashville - and based on manmade and natural catastrophes I can see WHY frightened people would WANT the Rapture to take them away from all this....I've been going there for over 28 years, and I swear they keep putting up the same billboards and changing the dates!!!  Mal

First time I heard that, The Lord was to arrive in San Francisco
on April 1, some time in the 1980s I think. That was a Jehovah's Witness prediction taken from certain clues in the Bible. I can certainly understand the hope people have that this crazy world will be left behind and folks can be caught up in a cloud of good will and harmony. However, I believe it is up to us to make the necessary changes, which ain't such a joyful fantasy given how stubborn and stuck in our ways we are.

After the doomsday date passes I hope they'll crawl back under their rocks!

Now I'm totally confused. I though it was going to happen in 2012, and pretty sure they said Tibet, not Nashville.....

Naut
That is so ridiculous. It is no wonder there are so many who do not believe. This sort of insanity has been going on since Jesus came originally. If one reads the Bible they know such people as these and those who disrupt funerals and many other things are NOT CHRISTIANS. I am sorry about such behavior, but God is a being of choice. One has full right to choose the reality of God or not, I am sorry they did not. Thank you for posting this.

I think I was about 13 and in boarding school the first time I was told the
end was coming on a given date. Some silly girls screamed and fainted on the day,,,,and of course as the years have gone on, the doomsters and fringe  religious nuts have continued.....I won't lose sleepover this lot either...pity they didn't use that money to help someone in distress.
